Fallen Waitress

I went for a Waitress job-hunting on Wednesday, 2nd of September at Brooklyn Mall went to almost all the restaurant I could ever find. Finally, was then very lucky got an opportunity at Cappuccinos…You know nowadays it is very hard to get a position in any job if you have no experience because people who are in demand are those who have experience of two or more years  regardless of what job category it is.² You very young and you look innocent am not sure, whether you the right person for this job ² really

If this girl looks innocent in your eyes then I do not want to be innocent!  Anyways that is what the owner of the Restaurant said. At least he gave me the opportunity to prove myself that am not as young as he thinks and that am not as innocent as I look in a good way, though! Well had my first Waitress training on Friday 4th of September it felt like I have been in this industry for a long time at first I was nervous then I got to move with the flow.
.I was then told that I will be writing the test the next coming Friday ………… whoa Whattttt!!!!!!!!!!?????????  Test ?????  Friday??????

The day I took my Résumé was told that the training would take ten days. Now it's seven days! Guess you have to be ready for anything in life.Anyways I had to sacrifice my sleep for six days and cram the damn menu which I did of cause needed the job badly. The day came, wrote the test then got the results on Monday …………….My heart stopped for a sec, then it started beating fast on the other hand my knees were quivering .Wetted my pan ts ,no am kidding I did not. I could not believe what my ears heard .Then exited reality went to a place called nowhere for 5 to ten minutes where I saw myself owning Cappucci nos, yeah  all of that kind of fantasy .. Then came back to reality. A very good technique for consoling yourself if the same thing happens to you .
I might not have made it but it was great experience leant a lot, which I never knew how it was made, but always had it. My favorite section was the BAR!!!! I am eighteen by the way. I have learnt how to make THREE COCKTAILS Pinna Colada, Strawberry Supernova and Long Island I tasted the Pinna Colada and it was mind blowing and it was also my first time having a COCKTAIL .
All I ever dreamt since I begin with the training was becoming the best Waitress whom will up-sell the most expensive Champagne, which was never sold in Cappuccinos by any of the waiters / waitress (AS I SAID THE BAR DID IT FOR ME).
Always know there is two sides of every story good or bad, I might have failed the test but I came out of that training with a lot of information, which will be usable someday!

Word with no definition : 'Normality'

I believe everyone has a story to tell and have different perception about life, the thing is we trapped in a confined box that we cannot jump out and share what is on our mind.
Simple because we afraid about what will people say.

Normal...we create  normality because  there is no true and clear definition of Normal, Creation changes. Some view “norm” according to culture, social classes or according to the system.

Normal is when you do what everyone is doing all because of the system and a simple acceptances from the society. Well everyone is different in his or her own way that is being unique, but there is that difference which is not in the norm. That difference is when you do things unconditionally which most people think that is not normal and unacceptable. Then that is where abnormality fits in.

Normality is the way of belonging. In the norm, we taught how to do certain things in order to reach a certain goal or destiny we are so indoctrinated in such a way that we cannot even think for ourselves we just follow. Now that is the norm.Being told how to think.

As for a person like me, I do not believe in normal or abnormality either indifference because the more we classify ourselves in different segments then segregation, discrimination and isolation begins there because we feel like no one is like me so I do not belong here. If you accept yourself,t he more people will accept you.Fighting for acceptance shows that you do not accept who are you.Hope you understand what I mean

People classify themselves being in the norm due to acceptance because they so eager to be accepted. No one will ever define normal nor abnormality because there is no existence in those two words.
One said: “Normal is average and average is not being ambitious”. If you told yourself that you normal would, you still consider yourself normal.

Who is Normal and who is not?

Thinking  of  tomorrow …

For It is said that: “Youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow “.Are we still saying that where else there is a high rate of youth unemployment, high rate of university drop-out, high rate of matric drop-out  in 2014  50%,matric dropped out.

We extremely good when it comes to pointing out problems facing the leaders of tomorrow but extremely slow when it comes to pointing out Solutions.
Whilst i was in Matric , they would bring people from different institutions lecturing  us on how much we should study, which is sometimes truly pointless because at some point you know that you have to study.... ! They might call it  a reminder but who reminds you to eat either drink water because you know that if you don't you will definitely kick the bucket.

For what good reason should you be reminded about your future? They would also tell us how much we should get 50% in order to be admitted in  tertiary Education institutions, great where else we grew up with the mindset that get 30% for the three main subjects and get 40% for the rest you have passed and you are even promoted to the next grade .

Cool ...why strive for a 70 where else 30 is enough. Get to matric things change...  50% or more where else we used to the system of 30%. Then we get such problems as Matric dropouts, 50% matric drop out  is no joke and ask yourself where are they going to end with their lives. Lack of information at a very young stage and also the system of 30% PASS RATE should be eliminated. 50% above will do it should be implemented at a young age so that they grow up with it. With respect, you were taught at a very young age and you grow up with it , that can also be applicable with education.

Not to forget the career exploration must be done at least  each year in all of the High Schools from grade 8 to 12 because people keep on changing career path now and then at a wrong stage. Students in university take certain courses due to money and "fame" ..I love using engineering  example because if you doing engineering you have great chances of being respected both by family and the surroundings.....so most students fall to that pit. Such wrong ideas lead to University dropout rate to be on the rise ...Lack of career information
Ø  .Tip never take career chosen for you and also engaging yourself with a career because is in demand.

I matriculated last year,2014 never knew what I wanted to do due to lack of information my main focus was to get distinctions. Obtain myself a bursary then go to university ...Where else I had no clue with what I was passionate about neither any career information . Luckily enough, I was assisted by a certain company where am offered full assistance of career guidance where I engage myself with different types of careers to see where I best fit. For it is given a name of Internship Preparation Year equivalent to a gap year. Difference is with gap year you just think for the whole year where you best fit in without exploring different options.   As for what am blessed with I have full access to the internet where I can engage myself with different types of careers also do the free online courses and get a clue what am going to be doing when I do my degree at any given institution.

-At first I wanted to do Law...and it happened that I did a Free Online Course for law. Before I knew it  I Left it the next day....
-Secondly I got interested with IT I then wanted to be a  Web developer which I kind of enjoy  ,but I left it because I felt Like it was not meant for me...
-At, last I found something I love, which is marketing. Which I never knew about when I was in my school days. I knew that there was a thing called Marketing but did not have information about it and never thought I would love it now am fully informed about Marketing and I want to be Marketing Manager and Director.
Imagine if I had to change so much when I was in university money and time wasted never regained so they say. This is what happens with the first years which is truly affected the country and them at the same time.
The amazing part is I didn't choose Commerce subject in grade ten, I took Science subjects, but my career path is aligned with Commercial studies anyways that is Disadvantages of not having access to information.

The main reason why am sharing my story is because I wish that such programs can be implemented to eradicate this rate of drop outs .Programs to assist people with career choices before taking step forward to engaging themselves with those certain  careers they have no clue about .

Implementing Change through Skills

Education is the key to success how true is this statement. In the days, we live in everyone believes that the only way you can be successful is completing your matric, going to University graduate then get a decent job.

The unemployment rate in South Africa, especially the  Youth Unemployment Rate is 52%, it is the thirds highest rate in the world. Not to mention the dropout rate in Tertiary institution  15% and we have over 600 000 unemployed graduates. What might be the cause of all this insane rates?
South Africa is on the eighth position of the highest unemployment rate. If we could think about it, the government spends about R31, 8 BILLIONS ONLY ON EDUCATION and YET we have the high rate of unemployment and poverty. It is been estimated that the rate of poverty is about 39% over 12 MILLION people live in EXTREME POVERTY. Which takes me back is Education the only  key to success?

Am not against Education neither for education. I highly believe in individuals skills and abilities.Statically it’s been proven that most dropouts are due to lack of information and obviously financially state. How can you do something because of the society either go to the university where else you know that you don’t have money I do know what you call it, but I call it Stupidity!
how many people who know how to sing or act whom are not given chances to express their Talents ,skills and abilities ,yet we have  people going to  “School” of music to be taught how to sing, school of art taught how to fix draw yet they are people who know how to without being taught to . We have people who know how electrical appliances, trouble shoot, programming, building cars etc. Yet they never went to school for that but we find people doing computer sciences, Engineering going o technical schools been taught how to do that. Kathryn Is a fourteen-year-old child who can build a car from scratch, did she have to school for that to be taught how? Wait… isn’t that engineering?  7-year-old Zora who is Programmer did she have to go to school for that? Isn’t that Computer Sciences? What about Akrit Jaswal the youngest surgeon at the age of Seven  did he go to any Medical School I don’t think so he performed  his first operation  at the age of 7 on an 8-year-old girl whose hands were fused after been burnt and it was a successful operation . Yet we have people going to Medical schools to be taught how to.
Poverty, unemployment and crime main cause is general to be blamed on Poor Education System. Yet Billions is spent on Education.Graduates still hardly have access to jobs, Why? Didn't  they say Education is the key to success? In every individual, there’s a certain talent, skill and ability the only problem is who is willing to discover those talents.Talents that can change the world.Which can eradicate poverty, unemployment, and crime? We can see that education is not implementing change but am not saying stopping it will make a difference. (Laughs)  God created different people for a reason some can, some cannot. I met one of the street kids and I had a chat with him he told me he was good at Dancing and Singing but he is in the street because he was or is not given a chance to express what he good at. When he grows up he will be influenced in bad things trying to better up his life his access to crime will increase the rate of Crime. Such things we as people we not aware of! If it was… actually it is possible if every person could express what they good at change will take place am not saying poverty, neither unemployment will end but Eradicate.People engage to crime because they are never given chances to showcase what they good at yet we complain about poverty. Doesn’t matter how small you think your skill can be but it can bring change that little change is Change. If I were a President I would give Chances to all uneducated people and discover  their abilities, talent, and skills. I do not care how many degrees you have, but I care about what you are able to do your.Degree is what you taught, applying what you taught. but I want someone who can apply what they  know and they can do not do what they have been taught. I know a lot of people who went to University to study what they were told to study which they did before you know it they  drop out and Pursue what they love. Why, not everything is about school neither education. It’s about what you love and passionate about. Not to forget Blessing Mngobeni , he used to live in the street..Most known examples

Paul Allen

Net worth: $12.7 billion
Source of wealth: Microsoft and investments
Education: Washington State University drop out

Bill Gates
Net worth: $54 billion
Source of wealth: Microsoft
Education: Harvard University drops out

Ingvar Kampar
Net worth: $23.5 billion
Source of wealth: ALDI
Education: no higher education
The list goes on and asks yourself how they do it? Don’t try to imitate them but go hard for something you passionate about what you good at, you love …..Let’s start taking individuals skills into consideration to better up our world. DON’T STOP EDUCATION THOUGH BUT implement program for discovering people’ skills and ability let our main focus be the people in the streets first ,people experiencing poverty maybe this Grant thing will end and money distributed will be used for better things because in the next coming years this world will be disastrous .
Bringing Awareness to Change the world
How true is this statement =Education is key to Success? What if I said: In discovering individuals, skills and talents can be the most powerful weapon to change the world.
Am deeply concerned about the dropouts, unemployment, and crime and poverty rate.
The question is Where to Start?
God be the Glory
